The most famous prehistoric monument in the world, and now a world heritage site, Stonehenge stands alone in the vast empty tract of Salisbury plain. Its origins date back nearly 5,000 years and it has been home to pagan religion and spiritual worship, not to be mention public debate ever since.
Upon arrival at the worlds most famous prehistoric monument, you will be met by a local representative who will hand you your VIP tickets and fast track you to the site in our dedicated shuttle. Here you will enjoy a private talk and geographical explanation pointing out the huge sarsens, smaller bluestones, the avenue, heel stone and more. Plus hear anecdotes of life at Stonehenge during the summer solstice, tales of wedding proposals, and exclusive visits by famous people including President Obama and much more. A complete audio tour is also available.
Then join us for a delicious picnic lunch in the recently opened cafe where you can enjoy a sandwich, or hot pie (Cornish pasty,) side salad, a bag of potato crisps, a tea or coffee and a delicious piece of homemade cake. The cafe is usually busy but don't worry we have our own fast track queue and it's all included in the price of the tour.
Discover 800 years of history including Europe's oldest working clock, the world's best preserved original Magna Carta dating back to 1215 and Britain's tallest spire, at Salisbury Cathedral.
A stunningly beautiful building and steeped in history, Salisbury is Britain's most splendid 13th century Gothic cathedral. Entrance to the Cathedral and chapter house, where the Magna Carta is located, is included in the tour.
One of the most beautiful cities in the UK with its charming bars and restaurants, delightful crescents, terraces and stunning 18th century architecture.
Firstly enjoy a panoramic tour of the city onboard our luxury coach with your professional guide including views of the Circus, the Royal Crescent, Bath Abbey and Pulteney Bridge overlooking the river Avon cascading over the weir. And then there will be time to visit the fabulous Roman Baths or the Jane Austen museum should you choose, or simply relax, shop and explore before rejoining the coach and heading back to London.
